Blogger event: Brussels, July 14

I'm chairing an event next Wednesday morning in Brussels, where Waggener Edstrom is launching its Brussels Blogger Study 2010.

Brussels is an exciting place for social media at the moment. Social media sites covering the centre of the European Union’s decision-making process is growing quickly. Understanding exactly how digital communications are changing patterns of influence is particularly critical.

Our speakers will include:

Gavin Hewitt, Europe Editor, BBC
Richard Freedman, Press Officer for European Parliament President Jerzy Buzek
Marietje Schaake, MEP and Chair of the New Media Intergroup

Blogs have become an important, highly democratic channel for sharing opinions with the wider world, so we're launching a report on the most influential blogs on Brussels - discovered and graded using our own influence methodology.

If you want a copy of the report you can register to be sent one when it's published here.

Otherwise, let me know if you're in Brussels on the morning of Wednesday, July 14 and I'll save you a seat.
