Should brands employ trained writers to tweet?

Social media empowers 'normal' people (ie. untrained writers) to share written copy with large audiences. While this makes brands able to communicate more quickly, it can also lead to mistakes and a lack of quality control.

I'm not sure who writes the Twitter stream for gossip mag That's Life, but I'm guessing by the adjective in this tweet that it isn't one of the journalists...
